My wife and I had a discussion about this after watching the series, and  amber eileen shirt She’s definitely our least favourite person on the series. At least with Frank, you feel there’s a good side to him, or there are limits on what he’ll do to get what he wants. With Zoe you feel that there are no limits and she’ll twist the knife into anyone without thinking twice about it.- it seemed so extremely unrealistic that someone like in Frank in real life would ever do that, not just because of moral reasons (which Frank seemed to have some of though not much), but because of the huge risk involved — just plain stupid; everything had felt so realistic up to that point and then that came totally out of left field

– it felt like a plot device deliberately used to engender bad feelings towards Frank and paint him as a definite bad buy. Before that it was much more ambiguous, with Frank being like  amber eileen shirt  and reprehensible in others ways, which made the series more interesting. It almost ruined the whole series for us. Judging from how many dumb TV series stay on the air while so many smart TV series get cancelled, I think many viewers don’t like the complex ambiguity and want this over-simplistic “good guy/ bad guy” thing, so IMO that’s why they took the plot that way.
