I’d recommend for current students to think carefully what they want to do with their degrees—take internships ,research a certain area that’s of interest and a skill, and one can certainly be successful with a liberal arts degree. But how liberal arts are taught needs to change, and fast, because most of the time, it’s not teaching the current students the most essential skills they need to have to prepare for a wide variety of needs of professionals that are not going into law school. (As for me, I got an IR political science degree,and I think I’m moving towards–surprise!– international business and working for international companies. I hope. *crosses fingers*).
