This question for me brings to mind one holiday, if you can call it that, given that Christmas Cookie Lover Taste Tester Cute Santa Xmas Favorite T-Shirt as far as I know. To be honest, I am not a great fan of this holiday, and the holiday I am referring to is Halloween (31st October). When I was a boy more than 50 years ago Halloween was not much celebrated here in the U.K. at all, though my parents told me that they were aware of the tradition of making lanterns out of pumpkins because this had been introduced to our country by American servicemen stationed here during World War Two. However we did not pay much attention to Halloween because we have Guy Fawkes Night (or Bonfire Night) on 5th November, which is quite near Halloween and so somewhat eclipsed it.
