Based on your wife’s answers being positive ones, I’d encourage my daughter to try it at least once, unless your wife isn’t the child’s mother. If she isn’t, I wouldn’t require her to go if she would feel disloyal doing so or if they don’t have a good relationship. I’d work on the relationship in other ways first. If she is, I’d strongly encourage my daughter to go and may even require her to go and try to be open to the experience, especially if your wife isn’t planning something like a Free Mom Hugs Messy Bun Rainbow LGBT Pride T Shirt for them. Try a night out first based on how your daughter is now and see how that goes…
My parents were married on December 19th, so we always put the Christmas tree up on their anniversary. Most of the Free Mom Hugs Messy Bun Rainbow LGBT Pride T Shirt we used store bought decorations on the tree, but one year my mother wanted a natural tree. So my brothers and I spent hours drawing and gluing and cutting out paper decorations. We also strung popcorn and cranberries that year. The only thing that wasn’t homemade was the lights and the icycles. It was a wonderful tree, and my mom still has those old paper decorations. Both of my brothers are gone from us now, so each year I put two of the paper decorations on the tree in honor of them. On Christmas Eve, we got to open one gift, and it was always pajamas. When bedtime came, we would put on our new pj’s and put a glass of milk and some homemade cookies on a little tray and put it in the living room for Santa. During the night “Santa” left gifts wrapped up in colorful paper and ribbons, and he always ate the cookies and drank the milk. We were always told to get to bed on time, because Santa couldn’t come if we were still awake.

There was definitely a way with my children’s father. We celebrated holidays and birthdays as we always had done, including inviting my ex mother-in-law. I think the Free Mom Hugs Messy Bun Rainbow LGBT Pride T Shirt was that there were enough people invited that it wasn’t just him, me, and the kids staring at each other. We’re also a family not noted for our drama; my mom couldn’t tolerate drama! We still do holidays together sometimes, even though the kids’ grandparents are all gone now, one child lives 1200 miles away, and another child has married and is always included with his in-laws’ family. (My new spouse and I are always invited to the in-laws’ gatherings as well; it’s a huge and friendly crowd!) My kids are in their mid-30s now, and they’ve learned to make holidays a cooperative effort as well, despite having some of the most complicated family structures you can imagine. The point is to make it about happy memories for the kids and not a time/place to rehash old wrongs.
Although in modern parlance it is called Christmas(Christ mass) and has religious elements, it is in fact hung upon a clothes horse composed of a conglomeration of pagan seasonal observances and Free Mom Hugs Messy Bun Rainbow LGBT Pride T Shirt. The feasting elements in particular are pagan rites at the end of autumn and the winter solstice. The bringing of greenery into the home in the form of holly, fir boughs and mistletoe is also a pagan tradition. Christmas trees were introduced into Victorian Britain by Queen Victoria’s consort, Prince Albert who brought the tradition over from his native Germany. The palace did so everyone else copied it and soon it was all the rage. Again a tree decorated with offerings and candles(lights) has it’s roots in Germanic pagan ritual. Much of Christmas owes it’s existence to Roman, Germanic and Celtic pagan traditions that predate Christianity by millennia. Even the folktales of Santa Claus have their roots in pagan traditions from around Europe that have become melded into the figure of Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas or Santa Claus.
