We took care to lay a really solid foundation before we got engaged. A focus of ours is being intentional in our dating/marriage. We’re constantly working on ourselves and our relationship. We talked about it a lot and worked through it together. He also worked through it with his counselor. It’s good to be open with your future SO about your fears, and counseling is always a solid option to help you work though it.
