I stepped onto the pebbles of sand. An eerily iridescent landscape greeted me, shining in 360 I may not be perfect but Jesus thinks Im to die for shirt full panoramic view, as far as the eye could see. Five days before I touched down, it had been an ocean. For all I know, it might still be, only with the water replaced by pure, unfiltered light. Perhaps it was a mirage. Perhaps it was something else. Beautiful, and shimmering, like a ghost. I never got enough of it, no matter how many times I looked. But the smell, oh god, the smell.
