I wasn’t a Playboi Carti Merch Sicksid Sweatshirt. When Die Lit dropped, I was pleasantly surprised, and it aged well too. WLR was announced just a couple weeks after Die Lit came out (so over 2 years ago, approaching 3), and I (and probably most of his fans) were still riding the Die Lit hype. WLR has been continually teased up to this point, in time intervals small enough to not let the hype die too much. To put things into perspective, it’s not like Carti is one of my fave rappers. He probably doesn’t even make the top 20. But it’s not like Kendrick announced his next album right after DAMN and keeps bringing it up, even though we know the release is inevitable.
