On April 17, close to midnight, an individual who was denied entrance in his own town in the island sought refuge in San Jacinto. As alleged he came from ALbay, a Bicol province which is known to have confirmed cases of the virus. Compassion prevailed over driving them away from our shore. In short, he was allowed to stay overnight and the crew men inside their motorized banca docked in the town’s sea port. The next day he was turned over by the task force to the same authorities in his hometown and was accepted with the promise that he will undergo proper quarantine dispositions.

At times, some would ask one of their relatives to purchase goods for them because they don’t have a Quarantine Pass (QP), which to ECQ rules only one per household should be issued with, yet they would see 2, 3 or 4 members of some families in their community going out for whatever essentials they need to attend to.
