The other point is….we get roadblocks with machine guns in your face…in UK it is PC Plod who NOBODY respects. I find it awful as my Dad was s copper and I couldn’t understand why at school the Police were labelled as ” The pigs”. If you are a decent, lae-abidding citizen, you should be like me abd choose to love the Police as they are here for OUR prooection.

If it wasn’t for the Mutual Aid group where my elderly mother lives alone in the UK, I would be beside myself with worry. I am in lockdown here, my brother who lives near her is immunocompromised and my other brother is in lockdown in France. I reached out to the Mutual Aid group and she now has weekly groceries and fruit & veg delivered. There is even a kind woman picking up her medicines from the chemist’s. Even if I hadn’t organised that, people from along her street have dropped their details through her letterbox offering to help.
