Huge plus one to this. I’m half Asian, half white, spent most of my childhood and Ying Yang Heritage Proud Japanese American Shirts, but I look super white and have a British accent from my dad’s side, so my background not obvious at all (also the phrase “where are you from” gives me so much anxiety lol). I recognize that my looking white gives me a difference experience than say, my sister, who looks more Asian than me (we don’t even look related tbh) — but I’d hate to have this kind of speculation about my race because I don’t “look” it. It’s just rude.

Best Ying Yang Heritage Proud Japanese American Shirts
Yes! My family has this too. My mom is half Filipino and Ying Yang Heritage Proud Japanese American Shirts. She has one brother and one sister. Sister looks entirely white, brother looks entirely Filipino, and my mom looks like a mix. Even looking at my sister and my cousins (who are also 1/4 Filipino and 3/4 white), our skin tones are wildly different. People have never been able to figure out my heritage, ha. I completely understand that people who “look” white have different life experiences than people who don’t. But that doesn’t mean that we can say, “you look X therefore you must be X.”
